Lesson Policy

Terms and Conditions:

Thank you for choosing to take music lessons with me. I appreciate you making that decision and will commit to providing high-quality educational material, interesting lessons and ensuring that our lessons are a valuable and enjoyable experience for both of us. 

To maintain a productive teaching schedule, it is important that I have a clear cancellation policy in place and that you understand the policies moving forward. This is to prevent no-shows, unnecessary cancellations and will make sure you can have the best days and times suitable for your schedule. 

Continuing to have lessons with me is an acknowledgment and agreement to all of the points listed below. 

1. Lesson Booking:
   - Lessons are booked in advance for specific dates and times.

   - Lessons are typically scheduled after each lesson to allow flexibility but can be pre-booked if you wish to have a recurring day or time. 

2. 24-Hour Payment Policy:
   - Payment has to be made before any scheduled lesson can be fully confirmed. Lessons can be pencilled in but can not be fully confirmed without payment. Paid students will always take priority to avoid double bookings and delays in scheduling. This applies to both block and single lesson payments. 


   - You will receive messages and e-mails to remind you of any payments due. If you do wish to dispute any payment request, please let me know as I’m happy to look into any issues. 

   - Lessons will not take place until payment is received and confirmed. 

   - You may receive messages about cancelling and rescheduling your lesson if payment is not received and another paid student wishes to book at the same day and time. This will always be communicated to you via message to make you aware of the situation. This will be treated as your last chance to pay before your lesson is cancelled and replaced by another student. 

3. 24-Hour Cancellation Policy:
   - If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, you must get in touch as soon as possible. 

   - Any request to cancel or reschedule will be rearranged to another suitable day or time in the same week. 

   - Any no-shows or if no cancellation is received, the lesson will not be rescheduled, and the full lesson fee will be forfeited.

4. Make-Up Lessons:
   - In the event that I need to cancel a lesson, I will provide you with alternative dates and times. Any lessons cancelled by myself will not be charged and will be rescheduled. I will aim to give you 24 hours notice unless in Emergency.

5. Emergencies:
   - In cases of genuine emergencies, exceptions to the cancellation policy may be made. Please reach out to me as soon as possible in such cases.

6. Technical Issues:
   - If technical issues on either end (yours or mine) prevent the lesson from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the lesson or address the issue. In such cases, the cancellation policy will not apply.

 

6. Refunds:
   - If you request a refund for any paid lessons it will be declined unless a serious issue or reason can be provided. 

 

- This will be on the grounds of consistent cancellations or issues on my end which has caused serious problems with the lessons. 

 

- If the student no longer wishes to continue then no refund will be provided. In most cases, refunds will not be given. 

By booking lessons with me, you agree to abide by this cancellation policy. I understand that life can be unpredictable, but adhering to this policy helps maintain a fair and organized schedule for both of us.
